Our Fall Fern Ornament is hand-formed from upcycled magazines into a single fern frond, its leaflets coiled one by one along a central stem. It's a quiet woodland piece for the season of turning leaves, shorter days, and gathering close.
Each strip of reclaimed magazine paper is rolled and shaped by hand, then set into place one coil at a time, from the stem out to the tip of each leaflet. Because every piece is made from different printed materials, no two patterns repeat. No two grains match. Each one carries its own subtle story.
Hang it in fall and keep it through the holidays. Tuck it into a harvest wreath, tie it to a napkin or place card at the Thanksgiving table, or hang it from a cabinet knob, a mirror frame, or a bare branch in a vase. When December comes, move it to the tree, where it adds a woodland touch among the baubles.
